It seems the inflation is being a supply side problem - rising import cost from China, along with the increasing oil price. If the HK authorities are clever enough to tackle the price increases with traditional remedies, raising interest rates and tightening fiscal policies, they'll be tackling the wrong problem - and demand in HK will be damn dead.
