  'Neath the halo of a street lamp 
  I turn my collar to the cold and damp 
  When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night

  And in the naked light I saw
  Ten thousand people, maybe more.
  People talking without speaking,
  People hearing without listening,
  People writing songs that voices never share
  And no one dared
  Disturb the sound of silence.

   

  那天，我聽到很多次Do you hear the people sing, 晚上站在被清場的大道中上，就想起Sound of Silence裡面那句"People writing songs that voices never share"...
