JUPAS制度裡面有一份叫做"School Reference Report"的東西，那是學校交給JUPAS的關於每個學生的報告，作用是當學系遇到公開試成績一樣的申請者的時候，用作參考的。School Reference Report有兩個大項，一是Academic Performance，即是校內學業表現，另一項是"Personal and General Abilities"。
Personal and General Abilities是學校就每個學生的12個屬性的評分加上一個總體評分。12項屬性包括:
- Industriousness
- Independence of mind
- Sense of responsibility
- Ability to work with others
- Maturity
- Leadership
- Conduct
- Perseverance
- Analytical power
- Initiative
- Ability to comunicate
- Creativity
- Overall Evaluation
香港學校的成績表通常只有品行、學業、課外活動三個評級的，而JUPAS要求學校提交每個學生的12個屬性評分，實在有點強人所難，那評分沒有統一準則，只能靠教師經驗和判斷。當中有一些看似相近的評分(例如Industriousness和Perseverance、Independence of mind和Maturity等)，不知分開評分參考價值有多大。大學學系想知道學生是否合乎他們要求，其實不需要12個屬性評分那麼多，依我看來，至少perseverance, initiative, independence of mind是多餘的。
當然，學校通常都不會太過「手緊」的，這些屬性的評分對於某屬性最強和最弱的學生影響較大，例如如果傳理系考慮學生的時候，Ability to communicate較低分的學生應該就較難取錄。
看著學生的屬性分數，便聯想起RPG遊戲、三國誌和Football Manager。每家學校都會有些關羽、呂布，或者是美斯、巴洛迪利。
講了這麼多，還是想提一提同學們，其實大學收生，其實不只是看成績。因為DSE六、七科，同分的人多的是。大家平日的學校和課外活動表現，不能完全置之不理。一般來說，相對於DSE成績和課外活動表現，這12項屬性大學未必會看重，不過如果你是大學，考慮幾個同分的考生的時候，看到一個像巴神(巴洛迪利)那樣的profile，裡面有幾項很高分，但心理質素有關的評分超低，那就可能會影響他們的考慮了。
